Last updated September 3, 2026What we collect
We collect your account identifier and email for sign-in, plant name, routine settings (name, time, repeat days, and icon), check-in records, and plant growth state. If you create or check in to an exercise routine, its name and completion record may include fitness information that you chose to enter. When you use Seed Plus, we process the product identifier and entitlement status, check-in source clips temporarily protected before a Daily Story is complete, Daily Story videos stored in the cloud, and their archive status. For product improvement, we record completion states for sign-in, routine creation, check-ins, Daily Story creation or failure, and purchase flows. For troubleshooting, we may process crash logs, app, OS, and device state, and an installation identifier. If you send feedback, we store its text, category, and app version. We do not separately collect your date of birth, legal name, address, contacts, or location.
Videos and Daily Story
Free users' individual check-in source clips stay only on their device. With Seed Plus, source clips are temporarily uploaded to your private cloud path for up to 30 days so a Daily Story can still be completed after reinstalling. Temporary source clips are deleted once the final Daily Story is safely stored in Seed Vault. Completed Daily Stories remain privately stored while Plus is active. During our backend migration, account data and private cloud media may be stored in both Supabase and Google Firebase under the same access, retention, and deletion rules for service continuity and recovery. Temporary clips and Daily Stories may include audio recorded with the video. Nothing is automatically published to other users. A video is passed to another app only when you explicitly use the share action. We access video only when you request support, when the minimum access is necessary to resolve a service failure, or when required by law.
Push notifications
If you grant permission, we store an FCM push token on your profile so we can send routine reminders at the times you set. You can disable notifications at any time from your device or app settings.
Third parties
We use Supabase (Auth, Database, Storage, and Edge Functions) and Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage, and Cloud Functions) for accounts, databases, private video storage, and server functions; Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications; Firebase Crashlytics for crash and error diagnostics; RevenueCat for purchase entitlement and restoration; and Expo for app build and delivery infrastructure. Supabase and Firebase may operate in parallel during the current backend migration. We do not set a Seed user ID, email address, or nickname in Crashlytics. Apple App Store or Google Play processes the payment itself, and Seed never receives your card or bank account details. Each provider processes data only as needed to provide its service and under its own privacy policy.
Google / Apple Sign-in
When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive only a short-lived ID token to create your account — we never receive your password. Apple users may choose to hide their email, which we support.
Retention
We keep account, routine, check-in metadata, and plant records while your account remains active. Product improvement events are retained for up to 400 days and are deleted sooner when the account is deleted. Crashlytics diagnostics follow Firebase retention and deletion policies. Seed Plus source clips are retained for no more than 30 days and are deleted sooner once the final Daily Story is stored in Vault. Completed Daily Stories remain stored while Plus is active and may be deleted after a 30-day recovery grace period following actual Plus expiration. If you delete your account in Settings, the linked profile, routines, records, plant state, push tokens, temporary source clips, Daily Stories, and other user data enter deletion immediately and are erased within 30 days. Payment transaction records may be retained separately by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat as required by law and their policies.
Minors
Seed is not offered to users under 14 years old. If we learn that an underage user has created an account, we delete it immediately.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data. Most of this is available directly inside the app settings. For other requests, email us from the address linked to your account.
Product analytics and tracking
Seed does not show ads or use third-party advertising tracking. Product states such as completed sign-in, routine creation, completed check-ins, Daily Story completion or failure, opening the paywall, selecting a plan, and purchase or restore outcomes may be linked to your account for troubleshooting and product improvement. We do not put screen views, user videos, or routine names in analytics events, and we do not use the collected information for advertising targeting or sell it.
Security and changes
Data in transit is protected with HTTPS, and account-level access controls and private storage policies are applied. If service changes affect the data we process or how long we keep it, we will update this policy and notify users of material changes through the app or website.
